Wellness Visits
These sessions incorporate educating clients about health, which can include aspects of underlying root issues, CranioBiotic Tecnique (CBT), Mind Body Spirit Release™ (MBSR™), Safe & Sound Protocol (SSP), nutrition, nervous system re-training, lifestyle factors, emotional healing, and more.
Virtual Groups
Origin Wellness sometimes offers virtual groups. Small group packages include educational material, group video chats and Q&A’s, laboratory testing information, “homework” and holistic treatment options. This option enables clients to pursue this type of care at a discount, with the bonus of getting to connect with others who have similar health concerns. See the Groups tab for more information.
Community Events & Speaking Engagements
Amber enjoys building community, spreading awareness, and engaging in education and public speaking opportunities. Please reach out if you would like to connect!

My Approach
I don’t have all of the answers, but I do have a lot of tools at my fingertips. I don’t diagnose disease or prescribe medications or controlled substances. I do work with clients to uncover underlying issues that may be influencing their overall body burden of inflammation.
When we focus on the terrain and gentle physical detoxification as well as mental, emotional, and spiritual angles, we reduce the noise and analysis paralysis inherent to the functional medicine or conventional approaches.
While functional medicine means well (I get it- I used to practice it!)… It keeps us stuck in a game of whack-a-mole attempting to put out all sorts of fires. If you’ve learned about pleomorphism, you realize that things like bacterial/fungal “overgrowth” and parasitic “infection” are not truly upstream. When we come from a posture of restoring balance instead of “fighting” something, we unlock greater depths of healing.
I am committed to collaboration and a team approach to healing, and when a client needs more than I can offer, (such as hands-on support like craniosacral therapy, osteopathy, holistic dentistry, etc.) I gladly connect them with referral ideas for a more expansive healing journey.
What Are Wellness Visits?
A health educator is an individual who has education and training in matters of improving physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health. Wellness sessions with a health educator focus on showing the client tools available for their health, and letting the client choose the path that they would like to pursue. Wellness visits often includes addressing root issues that could contribute to illness, such as nutritional factors, environmental factors, stress, sleep and other lifestyle factors.
Examples of things we may weave into Wellness Sessions:
-
a thorough medical history with test/lab review of the lifespan for clues
-
muscle testing and/or laboratory testing to help understand root issues
-
evaluating a medication and supplement list to determine if the quantity or quality may be stressing a client’s organs of detoxification
-
guidance in healing from root issues with a simple, natural approach
-
addressing concepts such as clean water, clean air, sleep, EMF’s
-
guidance in *gentle* detoxification and drainage support
-
strategies to improve daily activities in patients who have hypermobility spectrum disorders and dysautonomia
-
root issue work to help heal adrenal and hormonal concerns
-
guidance in environmental safety and toxin exposure reduction to lower flares and inflammation
-
discussions on optimizing nutrition
-
customized nervous system and limbic system work
-
Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP)
-
CranioBiotic Technique (CBT)
-
Mind Body Spirit Release™ (MBSR™)
-
tuning forks and other tools to help with limiting beliefs, food reactivity, etc.
-
guidance on inner work for deeper levels of healing
-
tools for energetic boundaries with people who identify as empathic in nature
-
exercise and movement plans specific to chronic fatigue, POTS, hEDS and other conditions
-
referrals to other resources and practitioners, if needed
Frequently Asked Questions
Will insurance cover my visit?
Origin Wellness does not accept insurance at this time but aims to maintain out-of-pocket costs at reasonable rates.
How do we conduct Telehealth visits?
Origin Wellness utilizes a web-based program called Simple Practice for all Telehealth video chats, charting, patient paperwork, and communication, ensuring HIPAA compliance for all visits. Telehealth is an option for all Wellness Sessions.
What is your cancellation and no-show policy?
Patients may reschedule up to 24 hours in advance without penalty for telehealth sessions. No-shows or same day cancellations will be charged the full rate for telehealth sessions. Mexico packages are non-refundable but they are transferable.
How many visits will I need?
The answer to this question is very individualized. With wellness sessions, we work together to determine a customized plan as a team. For those looking for both nervous system support and physical detoxification and drainage support, we often meet twice a month at the beginning. The Safe & Sound Protocol requires several pre-music training sessions; after that, it is self-paced and the duration/frequency of visits depends on individual response. Similar to the concept of peeling an onion, Mind Body Spirit Release™ (MBSR™) facilitates the surfacing and release of blocked or stuck emotions at the pace that feels safe for the body, so more sessions tend to result in deeper or more profound releases. The goal is to empower clients for success in as few visits as possible… but this means that homework will be encouraged!

Safe & Sound Protocol Program
The Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) is a five hour intervention designed to reduce stress and auditory sensitivity while enhancing social engagement and resilience. The intervention uses prosodic vocal music that has been filtered to train the middle ear muscles to focus in on the frequency envelope of human speech. Based on the Polyvagal Theory by Dr. Steven Porges, this intervention aims to result in a shift in the nervous system from a fight/flight or freeze state to a more regulated parasympathic (rest and digest) state. This intervention has been studied in patients with autism and also has ample clinical support for it’s use in adults and children with chronic illness.

$200 + Visit Fees
More Details
The SSP can be experienced via telehealth sessions/remote delivery, and typically the therapy takes place for 5-20 minutes a day over 3-6 weeks. There are three programs included (SSP Connect, SSP Core and SSP Balance) and each one has 5 hours of music. (The SSP Core is the one that has been studied the most, not every client may need to complete all 3 levels.) Access to the SSP entails an additional flat fee cost of $200 which covers the time required to complete each level once through Integrated Listening’s app. This fee is in addition to any visits deemed necessary as part of the process.
A 90-minute comprehensive wellness visit is required prior to starting the SSP. In most cases clients will require additional 60-minute session(s) to help integrate the auditory therapy appropriately.
So, the cost for the entire program is broken down as follows:
$350 (Telehealth Wellness Exam) + $200 (SSP App Access) + $175 (60-minute follow up rate) x (# of additional sessions required)
Clients can access the SSP platform through an app called “MyUnyte.” Amber will provide you with details about the login process and will train you in how to self-administer the program on your own (for yourself or your child) at home. When you request your appointment online or on the phone, please mention that you are interested in the Safe & Sound Protocol.
